The meaning of keyword prominence closeness of your main keywords to the beginning of the text, it means your main keywords should be included in meta tags as well as first heading, first paragraph of text, alt tags etc. Keyword density is also important and somehow holds greater priority over prominence, however both are needed to rank better. Keyword density is the number of times a keyword is repeated in the text of a web page. It is generally expressed in percentage. The meta description tag looks like this <meta name=”DESCRIPTION” content=” Your descriptive content with targeted keywords.”>, you can view the meta description tag by going to view and clicking source (in case of internet explorer).
After clicking source you will see the actual background configuration of the nice looking page in notepad, just don’t get scared and continue to look for meta description tag, you can also use the shortcut CTRL+F to search for the desired keyword on page.
